Smoke Session is the game featured in MonsterBuds. The game starts by creating a team composed of three MonsterBuds. The overall Tolerance Level or health bar of the team is determined by the MonsterBuds attributes. MonsterBuds have a total of eight different attributes: Energetic, Happy, Euphoric, Anxious, Sleepy, Focused, Relaxed, and Aroused. Players will also need to build a deck composed of 24 cards in order to play, although each time a card is used, it will be burned thus creating a burning card system. Players can acquire cards by purchasing them, from airdrops, or winning them through games. Cards have three types of rarity: Common, Rare, and Danks. The rules of MonsterBuds Smoke Sessions are simple, the first one to get smoked loses the game. There are seven types of cards that can be played in-game: Hit Cards, Reverse Cards, Block/Defense Cards, Steal Cards, Assembly/Combo Cards, Ripper Cards, and 2nd Wind Cards.

Breeding is one of the key concepts of MonsterBuds. Breeding can be done by putting two MonsterBuds to create a new one, each time breeding happens a new generation of MonsterBuds is created. Smoking MonsterBuds increase their XP levels, the XP will be allocated to the XP Shield used for Smoke Sessions, which gives additional defense to the team.
