The game map consists of 5625 lands, and each land contains three villages: two player fortresses and one barbarian village that is managed automatically. Choosing the lands wisely is crucial, as they provide bonuses to the villages located within them. Owning land has several advantages, including the ability to earn passive income without playing actively, the option to rent out the land, and receiving a transaction fee of 10% to 20% on all player transactions that take place within the land.

Imperivm allows players to compete against each other. The game is highly competitive, and players strive to earn money by destroying enemies. Building troops is crucial in every battle, as there are various defense and attack units. Players must optimize their army to withstand enemy attacks. The game also features gods who provide different bonuses to players. Working together, players must conquer the kingdom in the realm of Olympus. There are 14 buildings in Olympus, each with a specific task within the fortress. Players can expand their buildings for more population space, larger armies, or shorter recruiting times. However, players must remain vigilant as the enemy is always lurking, ready to destroy their fortress.
