The gameplay begins with the player selecting 14 cards that will be used in defending their own castle whilst destroying the opponent’s castle. Cards consist of minions and spells wherein minions will strike the nearest enemy within their range. Spell cards can be used against enemies in attacking and destroying the opponent’s castle or used to restore minions’ health. Both cards consume Mana in putting them on the lanes which can regen every 0.5 seconds. Players of this Web 3 game progress through a Trophy System and The Forge. Victories in daily matches reward players Trophies while defeats will cost them to lose Trophies. The Forge is the highest level that consists of a player that acquired 3800 trophies and enables the player to level their cards at their highest.

Castle Crush utilizes Ascension Crystals ($ACS) that are on the Avalanche blockchain. Players can obtain $ACS during in-game or seasonal rewards, clan tournaments, and by selling NFTs. Gaining Asencsion Points (AP) can help the players to earn $ACS. Victories in matches with NFT cards can help players in earning AP. Ascended & Founder Cards upgrades cost $ACS which can increase the skill stats of cards and have various in-game skins with animations that the players can use in battles and could give them higher chance of winning battles.
